we want to go somewhere with it. questions to address might¨
include: would we want to form contingents at national actions;¨
how would the network communicate; and how do we deal with issues¨
on theoretical grounds without sacrificing the totality of¨

{\bf mayday}. a meeting to determine the work of the mayday¨
network for the coming year. possible topics for discussion¨

{\bf neither east nor west}. neither east nor west is a network¨
of individuals and groups in both north america and eastern¨
europe who oppose the political/economic models put forward by¨
the united states and the soviet union. though not exclusively¨
anarchist, the vast majority of participants in the network are¨
anarchists. activities have included north american support for¨
ecological, peace, and civil libertarian struggles in eastern¨
europe; polish support for radical postering activities in new¨
york; sending spraypaint to eastern europe; eastern european¨
support for the pentagon blockade; and publication of a north¨
american periodical, \underbar{on} \underbar{gogol}¨
\underbar{boulevard}. this session will deal with logistical¨
questions around the network: how north american groups can act¨
together and support one another; should \underbar{on}¨
\underbar{gogol} \underbar{boulevard} continue to publish, and¨
what activities should be planned for the coming year. people¨
interested in joining the network are encourage to¨

event will allow songwriters and folksingers to share their¨
wares. participants may want to bring copies of lyrics and/or¨

{\bf anarchists and entertainment: independence in creative¨
expression}. the first third of this workshop will feature a¨
panel of representatives of studio 4, homocore/shred of dignity,¨
klub kommotion, gilman street, and secret studios. their¨
presentations, and the discussion that follows, will address such¨
topics as adapting resources to social conditions as they become¨
more restrictive, legal implications of alternative venues¨
without permits, diversity in underground performance, and 
anti-assimilation in producing multi-cultural events.
